Crochet pouches and pencil cases have to be my absolute favourite way to use up yarn odds and ends. A cute pouch combines three of my favourite things: it’s quick to make, you can make it in any size that you like AND best of all, it’s functional 🙂

Crochet Pencil Case by Annie Design Crochet

This gorgeous tapestry crochet pouch would be perfect for an older child with its muted color palette and stylish design.

The textured stitch used is a HDC spike stitch, that is so simple but looks more complex. The tight crochet stitches make a sturdy case which you could line with fabric, if you like. I think any little people going to school would love to have this in their school bag every day. You could also use one as the perfect little pouch for your crochet hooks!
