What do you listen to or watch while you crochet or knit? If you haven’t explored the world of crochet and knitting podcasts before, then you are going to love this list!

So much information, so little time
These days, there is so much information out there to help us improve our crochet and knitting skills, whether as hobbyists or business owners. It’s very easy to feel overwhelmed by the sheer volume of resources that are available at our fingertips.
It’s hard to know where to look, who to follow, what to read.
As a busy mom running around after 3 small children, I wish I had time to sit down and watch youtube videos and read books all day, but alas, I don’t.
The solution: crochet and knitting podcasts
For me, the solution has been podcasts; I am a complete and utter podcast junkie.
I look forward to going for a drive so I can listen in the car. I look for excuses to go for a walk so I can have 30 minutes uninterrupted listening time. I even like to put something on while I’m doing the washing up. And even if I am sitting down to crochet something that doesn’t require a lot of concentration, like this easy baby blanket or chunky scarf, I love to stick on a podcast.
It is hands down the best way I’ve found to learn something new while still being able to go about my daily life.
Scroll on down to browse my favorite crocheting and knitting podcasts that I am (slowly!) working my way through. Some are geared towards to designers, some towards hobbyists and some have a bit of everything yarn related.
Whether you are a hobbyist or a small business owner, a beginner or an experienced crafter, I guarantee you will learn something new.
Audio & Video Podcasts
Most of my favorite podcasts below are in audio format – I like to listen to these on my phone when I’m on the go. However, I have discovered a few recently that are only available on YouTube, and these are my go-to’s during my “sitting-down crochet time.”
For each podcast below, I have listed:
- the format (audio or video)
- the crafts that it covers (knitting, crochet, or all yarn crafts)
- who I think would get the most out of it (hobbyists, business owners or both)
I hope you enjoy this list and find a new source of inspiration and entertainment as you craft 🙂
