It gets chilly here in Ireland during the winter and we have an annoying little gap at the bottom of our front door that does not help! So I whipped up a simple draft excluder to try to keep some heat in.
Pre-crochet instructions
To make the insert for the draft excluder, I took a pair of old black jeans, cut them to fit the width of my door, and then sewed these pieces together. I then sewed closed one end, stuffed it with padding from an old duvet and sewed the other end closed by hand.
This was done with little or no technique so apologies that I don’t have more detailed instructions!

Materials
- Hoooked Zpaghetti Yarn (I used 4 colours)
- 10mm (N/15) crochet hook
Pattern
NOTE: When I joined a new colour, I did so by just continuing with a DC (I didn’t finish the previous row with a slip stitch or use use a CH 1 as the first stitch). While this did give a “staggered” effect at the back of the draft stopper I was OK with this. I experimented with the CH 1/SS method but found that it just didn’t look as well, and with T-Shirt yarn being so thick it was actually more noticeable than just doing a continuous loop.
